Rose oil is obtained from the fresh flowers of the Rosa damascena through water distillation. The production of one kilogram of Rose oil requires about three thousand kilogrammes of rose blossom, which makes it the most expensive essential oil in the world. Rose oil is one of the symbols of Bulgaria. For over 300 years people inhabiting the Rose valley have grown roses and processed them into Rose oil, known in all over the world with its superb quality and unique aroma. In 2010 INA Ltd started a project of organic certification of its rose plantatiions.
